Times are hard right now, and with this tasty dish you can satisfy your tastebuds as well as your wallet. These Hungry Hobo Beans are the best dish to serve on any cold night for you and your family. Interestingly named as well as interestingly delicious, follow this step by step process on how to make Hungry Hobo Beans.

Ingredients:

  • ½ pound of hamburger

  • 1 onion chopped

  • 1 can pork and bean, with juice

  • â…“ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup BBQ sauce

  • ½ teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 1 pinch pepper

  • ½ pound bacon, chopped

  • 1 can red kidney beans, drained

  • 1 can large butter beans drained

  • ½ can Lima beans

  • â…“ cup white sugar

  • ¼ cup ketchup

  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard

Instructions:

  • Brown the bacon in a skillet; drain fat from the skillet and put the cooked bacon on a couple layers of paper towels to keep it crisp.

  • Brown hamburger in skillet; drain fat from the skillet and set aside.

  • Sauté the onions, then put the already cooked hamburger in a non-stick casserole dish.

  • Add the canned pork, beans, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, chili powder, salt, pepper, kidney beans, sugar, butter beans, ketchup, and mustard on top of the hamburger and the onions in the casserole dish and stir.

  • Bake at 350 degrees F, bake for 1 hour and serve warm.
