Who's Who in the George Milton Trial: Curley Tyler

Who is he?

Curley Tyler is a 22 year old man, born and raised on the Tyler ranch in California, which his father owned his entire life. Curley tries to act as the leader on the ranch. Curley got married only last year, and a year after their marriage had begun she was murdered on the ranch.

 

How is he involved?

In the case of George Milton, Curley is very much involved. Earlier in the week of the occurance of Rachel and Lennie’s deaths, he and Lennie got into a fight. Lennie “crushed” Curley’s hand during that fight and forced Curley to tell people that it got caught in a meat grinder. Later Curley’s wife was found dead in the barn, something that only Lennie could do. According to Curley, George and Lennie always seemed to be in a disagreement with each other, and Lennie never seemed to get a chance to talk. Curley had seen his wife’s body after she was murdered, sending a troop out to kill the murderer, Lennie Small.
