Who’s Who George Milton Trial: George Milton

Who is he?

George Milton is a 31 year old man who was born in Auburn, California. He is a migrant worker who arrived at the Tyler Ranch this past Friday. He is also long time friend of murder victim Lennie Small.

 

How is he involved?

George Milton is the main suspect in the Lennie Small murder case. Milton has confessed to killing Lennie but refuses to call it murder. He says he killed him to save him from a worse fate. George has known Lennie since they were kids and says he would never do anything to hurt him. He described Lennie as caring, trustworthy, and loyal. In an interview with George, he described killing Lennie as an “act of love and mercy.”  He says killing Lennie was the hardest thing he’s ever done, and he feels awful that Lennie had to die. He also said that he had no choice but to kill him, because if he hadn't, then Lennie would’ve been tortured by Curley Tyler’s mob. Whether or not the court will act in favor of George because of his good intention is not clear at this time.
