Who's Who in the George Milton Trial: Chuck

Who is He?

      Chuck is a 30 year old man that was born in Seaside, California. He’s a migrant worker that has never been at the Tyler Ranch. Chuck Long is George’s and Lennie’s friend, and he was with them when George first learned that Lennie would do anything that he was instructed to do, and told him to jump into the river.

 

How is he involved?

       Chuck met Lennie and George at the Watson Ranch and they became friends, traveling around together for a few months. While Chuck was with George and Lennie near the river, George told Lennie to jump in, and from that time, Chuck thought and still thinks that George was trying to get rid of Lennie. Chuck knows how George always play jokes on Lennie but he thinks that that joke wasn't funny. Also, when I asked Chuck if he thinks that Lennie would ever kill George if he realized how he was always playing jokes on him and making fun of his disability. Chuck said that George may have killed Lennie but also may not have, it depended on his mood that day.
